Their Voices First is a non-profit association led by survivors and families of victims of enforced disappearance and arbitrary detention in Syria and Lebanon.
It was founded in response to an urgent need to organize the efforts of these families and represent them independently and effectively in legal, political, and humanitarian processes related to transitional justice and the search for the missing.
We aspire to be the living voice of the suffering of thousands of Syrian families whose loved ones were forcibly disappeared.
Our mission is to ensure justice, accountability, and dignified return for the victims by empowering their families, providing psychosocial support, and defending their rights in national and international forums.
We believe that justice can only be achieved when victims and their families are given the right to representation, and that their voices must remain at the heart of any path toward a just future for Syria.
